Helston: Local businesses among finalists in Cornwall Tourism Awards - including Museum of Cornish Life and Cornish Seal Sanctuary

The full list of Cornwall Tourism Awards finalists has been announced with a series of local businesses looking forward to a big event in February.

Now in their 20th year, the awards saw an increased 125 entries into the 2021/22 awards.

There were 66 selected as finalists who must now wait until Awards day on 3rd February when they will learn whether they have won Gold, Silver, Bronze, or a Special award. A further 13 received Commended status.

The local businesses in and around Helston picked in the final

National Trust Godolphin was commended in the Accessible and Inclusive Tourism Award.

Little Gwendreath Holiday Cottages, The Lizard have been selected in the final of the Ethical, Responsible, and Sustainable Tourism Award.

Polurrian on the Lizard, Mullion was commended in the Large Hotel of the Year award category.

Large Visitor Attraction of the Year - Cornish Seal Sanctuary, Gweek.

Small Visitor Attraction of the Year - Museum of Cornish Life, Helston.

Unsung Hero Award - Megan Walsingham, Polurrian on the Lizard.

Wedding Venue of the Year - Polurrian on the Lizard, Mullion.

Deborah Heather of headline sponsors Quality in Tourism said:
