Helston left 'deeply saddened' after death of popular community figure

It was announced this morning by Helston Town Council that much-loved community member Fred Angove has passed away.

The council released a statement:

"Members and staff of Helston Town Council were deeply saddened this morning to hear the news that Fred Angove has passed away.

"Fred has been a Macebearer since 1989 and a stalwart of numerous local organisations. Our thoughts go out to his family and friends. He will be greatly missed."

Fred had dedicated his life to helping in the town, being involved in community projects, regularly showing his support for the Helston Christmas Lights and the Helston Town Band.
