Thousands of people tuned in to sing along with Will Keating and celebrate Cornwall's strength during the coronavirus last night.

Will Keating kicked off the live stream from his home in Falmouth at 7:50pm.

He sang a couple of songs before stopping to take part in the Clap For Carers celebrations.

At around 8:05pm, when the clapping died down, Will sang 'Cornwall My Home' and residents all-over Helston sang along together.

The organised sing-along which was created just days earlier by Shelly Peters and Rachel - Gerred-Hart was pulled off.

The Voices Of The Borough page now has over ten thousand supporters.

Harry Glasson, writer of 'Cornwall My Home', has described how this evening has made him feel.

He told Nub News:

"The front line is and has been amazing but I never thought that people would be singing my song.

"I am amazed and humbled by the response of it all. I wrote the song more than twenty years ago, inspired by the singing of the Cape Cornwall singers.

"It was how I felt about Cornwall then and nothing has changed."

It will go down as a truly special moment in Helston and across Cornwall.
