A Helston hair salon has today reopened following being closed for months during lockdown.

Minnie's Hair Studio, situated on in Merlin Cinema on Wendron Street, opened in March last year and instantly did well in the town.

Lisa Marie Torbett, owner of the studio and hairdresser for eleven years, has spoken to Nub News on how it feels to be reopened to the public.

Lisa said: "It's very exciting. Can't wait to be behind the chair again, we have put measures in place to make sure our clients have maximum safety as well as getting the top class service."

The hair studio closed its doors back in March following the government's lockdown rules.

Lisa continued: "Lockdown has been super hard leaving the salon, but we managed to get our revamp done in this time so the salon is much bigger."

The salon describes themselves as "small and humble" who like to treat their customers like friends rather than clients.

Minnie's Hair Studio is currently hiring a nail technician and a hairstylist on a self-employed basis.
