Helston firefighters called to car fire

St Keverne firefighters were called out at around 2pm yesterday to deal with an incident near Goonhilly.

A Ranger Rover was well alight, the fire is believed to have started following an electrical fault in the engine bay.

On the fire station Facebook page:

"On arrival crews got to work quickly wearing 2x breathing apparatus sets extinguishing the fire using 2x hose reel jets.

"Crew returned to station at 15:40 filled the appliance with water, serviced all equipment and ready for operational duties by 16:00."
