A team from Helston battled a vehicle blaze on Thursday evening.

On Thursday afternoon (1st) a crew from Helston Community Fire Station were mobilised to a vehicle blaze.

The incident occurred at around 8pm in the evening in Wendron with the fire in the open and fears it could spread to other vehicles.

Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said:

"On arrival, a car was found to be on fire in close proximity to another vehicle. Due to limited water supplies, the crew requested a water carrier to attend from Helston.

"Two firefighters in breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet."

It has not yet been revealed what started the vehicle fire.
