Helston covid-19 news: Council's weekly update

Cornwall Council has revealed a decrease in covid cases as they urged people to continue to follow the lockdown rules.

In the latest update, Cornwall Council said there was a 20% decrease in cases in Cornwall from last week.

There were also 76 new cases in Cornwall over the last seven days, 18 patients in hospital, and 460 deaths in Cornwall since the pandemic began.

Covid-19 cases continuing to fall [.H2]

A spokesperson for Cornwall Council said:

"Our covid cases are still dropping. Thank you to everyone who's following the rules to help control the virus.

"But we still have some way to go, relaxing too early will cost lives, so we must all continue to play our part. Stay at home a bit longer and help keep everyone safe."
