Ashley Hampson, a Helston-based photographer, has been taking portraits of families around the community in his Front Porch Project.

Residents have been treated to a free 'front porch' photo as Ashley does his one-hour exercise walk.

View some of the portraits from last night (April 23rd) as Helston joined together to clap for our NHS.

A blog has also been keeping updated during Ashley's time in lockdown which has documented Helston beautifully.

Ashley Hampson told Nub News:

"The response from the local residents has been both inspiring and endearing. Whilst talking with people for the first time, I have generally found that people are keen to convey the positives that they have experienced during this crisis.

"People are enjoying being able to spend time together as a family unit, living a slower pace of life."

Residents of Helston have taken to the project well.

"I've had countless messages showing appreciation for their photographs, the project as a whole and the fundraising ideas," Ashely said.

"I've also had interest from a couple of local spaces with the idea of putting it together as an exhibition in the future. Perhaps we could organise a private view for all the people that took part."

Ashley has set up a fundraiser which has currently raised over £200 for the Royal Cornwall Hospital Trust.
