A Helston business is looking to freshen things up with a new name and logo.

Formerly The Waffle Factory, Meneage Street, the business announced the changes today (21st) on social media.

Now The Cornish Waffler, the name change is an attempt to adapt to difficulties in hospitality, and to clear up any confusion about what the shop sells.

Alongside the name change, they will also be changing what they sell. The Cornish Waffler will be selling everything "from burgers to cream teas".

The announcement on social media read: "It is too niche for Helston and with the state of hospitality at the moment the shop is really struggling financially its either adapt or close. So I have decided to adapt. Everyone is struggling right now and we are no different. It's all to do with people thinking that we only sell waffles and confusing people with the factory in our old name.

"We will be selling everything local, we will still sell waffles, pancakes etc but breakfast, Baker Toms bread, tea cakes, and scones. The window and signage still says the waffle factory but we are changing this when I redecorate in near future. We will still have all our amazing waffles and pancakes."
