A Helston-based women mental health charity has been registered as a Community Interest Company.

Natasha Anne, the creator of Your Voice, launched the company last year and it's been growing ever since.

Natasha Anne told Nub News: "Since the launch of Your Voice, last year, we had always planned on applying to be registered as a CIC but took our time with our application whilst we established exactly where we wanted the organisation to go.

"Now we are solely concentrating on supporting women affected by Mental Health, the guys over at Man Down do an incredible job of catering for the chaps, and we have a new logo coming in the next few days, we thought it was time to get our CIC status in place."

Registering Your Voice as a Community Interest Company means that Natasha will be able to apply for more funding.

"It's also great to be recognised as having a positive impact on the community," Natasha said.

The women's support groups which Your Voice is known for will be starting up again in the next few weeks.

Natasha is still looking for suitable premises to house their first shop - which will raise money to push back into the charity.

Natasha continued: "We have lots of exciting things ahead, including expanding our groups, social activities to encourage women getting together, and with our new logo really embracing who we are and what we do; the future is looking very exciting for us and the people we currently support and will support in the future.

"COVID has impacted the lives of so many people who already suffer from their Mental Health, as well as those who are now left struggling due to the implications of the pandemic.

"Now more than ever it's vital that we do all that we can to offer support and resources to anyone struggling."
