Police have put out an appeal for a missing man from Wales after growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.

Nigel Williams, 50 years of age, was last seen on Friday 17th July.

It is believed he may be in the West Cornwall area, the police revealed this afternoon.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said:

"He is described as 5ft 9 inches in height, heavy build, unkempt grey hair, Welsh accent, last seen wearing a black fleece, black and grey striped top, tracksuit trousers and carrying a laptop bag.

"Please can accommodation providers check registers to see if Nigel has, or is, staying with you."
