The Christmas lights at Coronation Park are in for a massive boost this year after a grant from Helston Downsland Charity.

Helston Downsland Charity has pledged £2000 towards the display allowing the park team to boost the display with over 600 metres of new lights.

A spokesperson for Coronation Park said:

"Coronation Park, Helston wishes to thank Helston Downsland Charity for its grant of £2000 in support of the Christmas Lights at Coronation Park.

"Following on from our initial display in 2019 which received wonderful feedback from the community, the support from Helston Downsland Charity this year has allowed us to increase our display by over 600 metres of new lights.

"Alan, the park keeper now has the massive task of wrapping trees and installing them all. Over the next week, you will see a new section lit every few days until eventually, all the lights will be in situ.

"The support from Helston Downsland Charity has made this possible for which we are very grateful. We hope the community will enjoy the lights in the park over the Christmas period."
