Helston Town Council has announced that it will continue to fund a free hour of parking in two town car parks.

Trengrouse Way and Tyacke Road will have the first hour free until the end of September.

Helston Mayor John Martin told Nub News:

"The Town Council has decided to extend the free parking for the first hour in the two car parks.

"It was felt that we should continue to support residents, businesses and visitors throughout September. This means that Helston Town Council has supported this initiative for fifteen weeks during the summer and during the peak of the pandemic.

"We hope this has helped to restore confidence to shop locally and has improved access to our town centre."

To reclaim your first-hour of parking present your duplicate parking ticket at participating businesses.

The sixty pence refund can be collected at several shops and other businesses in the town by handing in the receipt issued by the ticket machine.

The offer relates to those car parks only, must be claimed by 14th October.
