Fill a shoebox for a rescue dog this Christmas

The Dog House, Helston, are appealing for people to fill a shoebox with donations for rescue dogs this Christmas.

The Dog House Shoebox Appeal is hoping to provide dogs in need with essential goods and treats over the festive period.

A spokesperson for The Dogs House said:

"People have been absolutely fantastic, and we are overwhelmed by the generosity we've seen - it really does make a huge difference to the rescue and the dogs.

"Their vet bills are in the thousands every month, and combined with the cost of feeding, it's difficult to afford the extras such as treats and toys that every dog deserves to have.

"Thanks to all our donators. The burden on the rescue has been eased a bit this month, and we cannot thank them enough."

The Dog House is looking for donations of:

Treats

Collars and leads

Poop bags

Blankets

If you do not have time to buy the items yourself, The Dog House is taking monetary donations and will buy the needed goods on your behalf.

The shoeboxes go to The Last Chance Hotel animal rescue, and they use them for their dogs, the homeless, and families in desperate need.
