Emergency services respond to individual with injury at Church Cove, Lizard

This morning (29th) Mullion Coastguard led an evacuation of a casualty from Church Cove, Lizard.

The team was tasked just short of 11am to an individual suffering a back injury whilst coasteering.

A stretcher was used to remove the casualty from the water. The coastguard then stayed with them until the ambulance arrived.

A spokesperson for Mullion Coastguard added:

"Once the ambulance was on scene we assisted with administering care before carrying the casualty to the ambulance to go on to hospital."
