Emergency services evacuate casualty from Gweek Boatyard

Porthoustock Coastguard Rescue Team were called to Gweek Boatyard yesterday to assist ambulance services with the removal of a casualty from a houseboat following medical episode.

The casualty was removed on a stretcher via a window and taken to awaiting ambulance where they were conveyed to air ambulance with the help of team members.

Also in attendance and assisting with evacuation were SWAST, Cornwall Fire and Rescue and Porthleven Coastguard Team.

The team closed down at 1730.
