Cornwall Mind (Mind Cornwall) is delighted to announce a new Eco Action Group, which is helping to combat people's anxieties about climate change, which can have a big impact on our well-being.

It's understandable that people may worry or dwell on negative thoughts about the state of the planet. Worrying about the environment is sometimes called climate anxiety or eco-anxiety.

If climate change is affecting your mental health, Cornwall Mind say that spending time connecting to nature may be helpful, they offer a 6-week programme that aims to inspire people to think positively about the future of the planet and consider ways to take action.

As well as providing opportunities to support local community projects, these sessions will encourage people to learn new skills, connect with others, take notice of their surroundings, and be more active – all of the Five Ways to Well-being.

It's a small group and you'll take part in activities such as tree planting, conservation, and creative projects using recycled materials. The sessions will be fun, relaxed and there'll be plenty of opportunities to talk and reflect over coffee or tea.

Once you've completed the 6 week programme, you can get involved with their monthly events. The first Eco Action Group will start on Wednesday 12th July in Helston.

More groups will be held throughout the county, you can sign up here: https://tinyurl.com/2p9yx387
