Driver arrested in Helston after being stopped for faulty lights

A driver has been arrested in Helston following a stop by police for defective lights.

Upon closer inspection on Monday evening (11th), the driver was found to have an expired licence and provided a positive drug test.

The driver was arrested and had their vehicle seized.

Details of the arrest were revealed on social media by Devon and Cornwall Police Roads Policing Team, reading:

"This vehicle was being driven with defective lamps and was stopped. The driver had an expired licence and provided a positive drug test. Vehicle seized and driver arrested. No excuse."
