Delays between Helston and Lizard after collision involving car and lorry

UPDATE: An update from Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed the collision was a minor injury incident.

The road has now reopened.


Traffic is reportedly slow around Culdrose this afternoon (1st) after a collision involving a car and a bin lorry.

The A3083 near the B3293 St Keverne turn-off is partially blocked and traffic is slow after the collision around 1pm.

There are delays of nine minutes and delays increasing on A3083 Southbound between A394 Meneage Road and Gilly Hill. The average speed is ten mph.

As reported by residents on social media this afternoon, the Culdrose Road between Helston and Lizard is said to be slow-moving, "no police on the scene but looks like they're on the way," a witness said.

No injuries reported from the collision as of yet. Any updates from Devon and Cornwall Police will be posted immediately.
