Watch the British movie that was inspired by the true story of the Military Wives Choirs and enjoy a live performance by Cornwall's very own Military Wives Choir.

Lionsgate UK is proud to present MILITARY WIVES, a film inspired by the incredible true story that in turn has continued to inspire people globally to come together and support each other through singing, forming communities that are bonded through uncertainty and strengthened with support.

Now with over 2,300 members, the Military Wives Choirs charity has become a global phenomenon, and Lionsgate is thrilled to work with them to bring the story of the choir to cinemas and inspire the nation through song.

Theirs is an inspirational story of friendship, love, and support on the home front. It started with a group of women uniting as their partners serve in Afghanistan. Together they form the very first military wives choir, helping each other through some of life's most difficult moments and also becoming a media sensation and global movement in the process.

From Culdrose Military Wives Choir, Melinda King said

"We are extremely excited for the upcoming film that tells the special story of where this unique and wonderful phenomenon began. It's a story of community, of women supporting each other through the most difficult of times, which we are sure will resonate with so many beyond the military community.

"As Cornwall's only branch of the international network, we wanted to offer a combined event where local people can watch the film and enjoy a live performance from the real military wives of Culdrose MWC, in support of our charity, and we hope to see a full audience."

Tickets are now available from the Regal Theatre, Redruth, with £2 from every ticket going to the Military Wives Choirs charity. Purchase them by clicking the red button below.
