The Mayor invites Helstonians to join him, and members of the Town Council, for a walk of solidarity for the people of Ukraine.

The Mayor will lead a walk of solidarity for Ukraine in Helston this weekend.

Last week, the Russian army illegally invaded the sovereign country of Ukraine. There are reports that 2,000 Ukrainian civilians have been killed so far, with 700,000 people having fled the country.

Taking place on Saturday 5th March at 2pm - Mayor Tim Grattan-Kane alongside members of the Town Council will walk to show their support for the people of Ukraine.

They will meet at Events Square, by the Boating Lake. Financial donations will be accepted and forwarded by the Mayor to the Red Cross.
