Yesterday afternoon (26th) the local coastguard team was tasked to Cadgwith Cove after reports an individual had fallen head first onto some rocks.

Mullion Coastguard Rescue Team was called out around 2pm after a female casualty had slipped off coastal steps onto the rocks below.

On the scene, an assessment of her injuries were made. It turned out the casualty had sustained suspected fractures to her shoulder, ribs and severely hit her head with the fall.

Casualty care was administered, and the decision was made to stretcher the casualty off the rocks to a more accessible place, so the paramedics could assess the casualty further once the ambulance arrived.

"Special thanks given to 'The Watch House,' Cadgwith Cove and 'Ruan Minor Stores,' for keeping us Coastguard's fed and watered on such a hot day," the coastguard team added.

The team was stood down at 5:30pm and returned to the station.
