By Joseph Macey 28th Apr 2021

A road closure with a diversion in use will be in Porthleven tomorrow for cabling works.

The work on Loe Bar Road is expected to last from 8am-4pm on the 29th April (one day only), with some delays expected.

A diversion will be in use from Cooper's Lane to Shrubberies Hill, an estimated 6 minutes.

Kevin Bryant, Cornwall Council's Head of Highways and Infrastructure said:

"The order will come into operation on 29th April 2021 and the works are expected to be completed by the 29th April 2021. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00.

"Nothing in this Order will apply to emergency services, buses, cyclists, traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer.

"Pedestrian and Vehicular access to residents and businesses will be maintained."
