Charity appeals for food donations

The Helston and Lizard Foodbank is continuing its appeal for help to support struggling families this Christmas.

The Foodbank is a project run by the charity Mustard Seed and provides Christmas hampers to families unable or struggling to provide a festive meal.

People are invited to donate food to the campaign and can drop items to the Open Door Café at 14-16 Wendron Street in Helston.

Organisers say a Christmas Day Dinner will be held at Mawgan Village Hall for anyone spending Christmas alone. Although not a project of Mustard Seed, the organisation is happy to pass on details of those interested.
