A butcher in Helston has helped light up the town by making a donation to The Helston Christmas Lights Committee.

Staff from Scorse Foods Ltd at Water-Ma-Trout in Helston decided against swapping Christmas cards and presents last year and instead raised £150 towards Helston's Christmas Lights Fund. The cheque was presented to Robert Williams, Chairman of the Christmas Lights Committee.

Mr Williams said: "Thank you to all at Scorse Foods for this generous donation. Our funds are low at present so this will boost the kitty nicely."
