It was a busy evening for the Devon and Cornwall Roads Policing Team with a drunk driver stopped in Helston.

The team dealt with the drunk driver, an uninsured driver and a motorist who failed a drugs test.

"A productive evening shift keeping the public safe," the team posted on social media.

A spokesperson for the policing team said:

"First, a drunk driver in Helston who blew 83, the legal limit is 35.

"Then the driver who was found to be disqualified and uninsured in the Truro area."

The male who failed the drugs test was arrested and faces the prospect of losing his licence.
