'Overwhelming': Whealdream and Cabs4U thank residents for support on opening delivery weekend

Helston based Whealdream and Cabs4U got off to a great start opening weekend of their new delivery service.

Whealdream had lots of orders and announced on social media yesterday that they were "completely full" for Sunday roasts.

Barry and Naomi, Whealdream Restaurant owners, and Jim and Gemma of Cabs4U teamed up whilst Neil and Jane have supported the community to give out vouchers to encourage families to get out and play some of the activities that Whealdream offer after lockdown ends.

Barry Clark, Director of Whealdream Restaurant, told Nub News:

"Everything went well, it was tough readapting but our team were great. We hope everyone was happy and did our best under the circumstances.

"Our aim is to get orders out as quick as we can and Cabs4U were amazing. We take on board any criticism and will do our best to overcome and improve as the weeks go on. As a team/family we want to keep Whealdream alive for its future and we will get through this storm.

"The support was overwhelming and we are getting an influx of reordering now which is great. We wish other business like our all the best and hope to see us all get through.

"We also are handing out discounts vouchers for Neils Football Golf and par 3 golf 9 hole and the new addition of the rugby golf course to give some new things to do when we reopen. We hope to keep new ideas and promotions on our Facebook page to keep interests out there."

The timings of the delivery service are Friday 5pm - 9pm, Saturday 5pm -9pm and Sunday (Roast Only) 12pm-6pm.
