St Keverne Fire Station has been dealing with another gorse fire - after numerous similar incidents on the Lizard Peninsula this week.

Crews from St Keverne were rushed to Goonhilly and Ruan Minor on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

"Another day another fire," the station wrote after another incident in Goonhilly this evening (Thursday 17th) just after 4pm - a gorse and scrub fire measuring approximately 16 hectares.

The fire was so big extra support had to be called in from Helston, Falmouth, and Tolvaddon. Alongside two L4Ps from associated stations of St Keverne and Mullion in attendance.

Beaters were used to control the fire back to natural breaks - the fire was put out at 5:30pm, all teams then left the scene.
