A tribute has been issued to Helston RFC club legend David Muirhead after his passing.

David sadly passed away at Roscarrack House, Falmouth on 24th February.

He is regarded by many as one of the greatest ever to wear the Helston RFC shirt - also featuring for Cornwall during the peak of his career.

He also captained Falmouth in the mid to late seventies, with the club issuing a tribute to him this morning.

His other passion was singing - being involved with the Cadgwith Singers.

He turned his hand to the legal profession holding a position at a firm in Helston.

"Our thoughts and best wishes to his family and friends," Helston RFC said this morning.
