Community members raced in Helston on Pancake Day to raise money for Cancer Research.
The event was held at Monument Walk with the Bowling Club serving teas and coffees. There were races for kids, adults, and a raffle.
Helston Fishermen's Mission shop manager Melinda King was the champion in the main race of the day.
Cancer Research UK Local Relationship Manager for Cornwall and South Devon, Sophie Barber, told Nub News:
"It has been brilliant, the nice thing was having all the kids come down and seeing them have a good time. It is a bit of fun and it brings the community together, alongside raising money for Cancer Research UK.
"It has been a tough couple of years for community fundraising with the pandemic, it is nice to see things starting up again and people getting back to normal."
Following the event, Helston Relay for Life posted:
"Thanks to all who made our pancake race a success. We'll be back next year, so put it in your diaries.
"Congratulations to our superstars from Lizard CHILD Trust and our overall winner, Mel King.
"Big shout out to Wendron Pancake Barn, Strawberry Finance Cornwall, and Jenkins Sweets for sponsorship and raffle prizes. Also to Helston Bowls Club for providing tea and biscuits."
