An application has been submitted to build a new beauty salon in Porthleven.

The development would see the demolition of an outbuilding and a replacement with a larger building to be used as a beauty salon and storage in Porthleven.

The applicant is hoping to offer both hairdressing and private treatments from the outbuilding, in her own premises.

Treatments will be by prior appointment only and all services will be conducted within the enclosed outbuilding.

The application form reads:

"This application is for the demolition of a small existing block outbuilding in the rear garden of the property, and installation of a larger, timber frame outbuilding.

"The building is for the intended use as storage for the household and as a private beauty salon for Ms Gunn. The unit is to be purchased from and installed by Truro Portable Buildings, who have been consulted prior to this application.

"There is an existing side access path & gate which allows pedestrian access directly into the rear garden of the property, for the installation of the proposed unit and future use by clients.

"The proposed outbuilding will be divided into thirds - one third as storage for the household, one third as a private salon space and

one third as private storage for business products & dedicated business waste."

The application will now await a decision.
