Porthoustock Coastguard Rescue Team was tasked to assist in a medical evacuation at Grebe Beach around 10:30am this morning.

The team worked with Falmouth Coastguard Rescue Team in the evacuation at Grebe beach. Also attending was Falmouth Lifeboat ILB and SWAST.

A spokesperson for Porthoustock Coastguard Rescue Team said:

"Arriving on the scene the teams worked together with other resources to transfer the casualty to the lifeboat to be taken to the beach and be transferred to the awaiting ambulance.

"Various stretcher techniques were used on difficult terrain ensuring the casualty had a bump-free and painless carry.

"Once the casualty was in the care of SWAST all teams stood down and returned to base. A great example of multi agency's working together."
