A fire investigation has got underway this afternoon (28th) after a blaze at Landed fish and chip shop, Fore Street.

Emergency services flooded the town this afternoon (just before 12pm), including 6 fire crews, police, and ambulance.

Smoke could be seen filling the area, with the fire service managing to put it out at around 3:45 this afternoon.

There were no injuries reported to people within the property, however, Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service reported that a dog was found deceased at the scene.

In a statement, Landed commented:

"We are sorry to say due to a fire today we will be closed until further notice. We will be back online soon to update you all. Thanks for the support and understanding at this difficult time."

Fore Street was closed for a short while before reopening, traffic has now returned to normal.
