The fundraiser for Porthleven Christmas lights reached the finish.

The target for Porthleven's Christmas fundraiser has been exceeded as the crowdfunder reached its conclusion.

The funds will go towards helping to pay for a new Santa suit and lights to illuminate the town.

Porthleven Lights committee has raised £1,613 with extra money to be used for the ongoing daily maintenance costs of the village lights and to buy new lights displays for next Christmas.

The committee has been in need of a new suit for Santa, who will appear at the annual light switch on.

From Friday 3rd - 5th December the town will be busy with activity, with Porthleven Band, Santa's Grotto, and mulled wine.

The weekend kicks off on Friday 3rd with the annual switch on, with mince pies and mulled wine at the Shipyard Market.

Porthleven Band will be playing at 6:30pm with lights on at 7pm.

On Saturday and Sunday, Santa will be appearing in his grotto in the Shipyard Market.
