The opening date of the new Poundstretcher store in Helston has been revealed after much speculation.

Taking over the location of The Original Factory Shop on Coinagehall Street, the store will open on the 12th November 2021.

The Original Factory closed the Helston branch among many others in 2018 after the company saw a severe dip in revenue.

There has been speculation for a long time Helston would be getting another retail store - and now it has been confirmed that Poundstretcher will be taking up the vacant site.

A spokesperson for Poundstretcher told Nub News:

"The Helston store will be opening on the 14th of November where Poundstretcher will be taking on new members of staff. The new Poundstretcher store will be taking over the location of The Factory Outlet Store."

The company will also be creating jobs for a full management team which includes a store manager, deputy manager, and key holders. They are also looking for part-time sales assistants.

The job description reads:

"We are looking for a driven and hard-working individual who has experience of working in a high volume and fast paced retail business. Discount retail would be an advantage, but is not essential."
