Mullion Coastguard: Woman taken to hospital after falling off horse

Mullion Coastguard came to the aid of a fallen horserider who was taken to hospital with multiple injuries.

The team were called out yesterday (Thursday 24th) just after 4pm to a female who had sustained suspected back and neck injuries following the fall.

On scene, Rescue 924 arrived on the beach, the coastguard assisted with stabilising the casualty before moving her onto a stretcher and into the helicopter.

She was then taken on to hospital for further care.

Mullion Coastguard Rescue Team added:
