Helston's Dales Family Butchers are looking to expand into a deli.

The butchers teased the opening of the deli back in October saying "coming soon to Dales" with an image of the prospective branding.

Now, the opening seems to have come closer as an application has been submitted for the sale of alcohol.

The application, submitted by Mr Christopher Jason Dale And Mrs Julie Alison Dale reads:

"We are expanding Dales butchers which is a long-standing company serving Helston since 1970 and are in the process of expanding into a deli, which will be based at our new premises, Dales butcher, St Johns, Helston.

"The product range will include, cooked meats, cheeses, pickles and alcohol (which will be sold for retail for consumption off of premises only).

"The alcohol will be situated on a dresser within full view of both the deli counter and butchers counter at all times. With CCTV in operation."

The date noted down for the beginning of the licence is 7th December of this year.
