Helston residents have reportedly been left in the dark for over two months after their street lights went out.
Hayley Nicholas, also the owner of The Red Lion pub on Church Street, got in touch with Nub News to explain how the situation was making life dangerous along Parc an Dower, near Wendron Street.
She said the lights went out around 10 weeks ago and still haven't been fixed despite numerous calls from residents to the council.
Hayley told Nub News:
"It's so dangerous it's absolutely pitch black. There are a few of us with kids on the street that come home after it's dark and we hate it. We are all having to leave our lights on in porches to try and light the street up a bit. I obviously walk home from the pub late at night and it's horrible."
In an update, a spokesperson for Cornwall Council's Transport and Infrastructure Service added:
"The lights are currently out due to a mains fault. Western Power Distribution (WPD) is aware of the problem and they will attend the site as soon as possible, their target date is 1st February, but they usually attend sooner."
