A Helston pub has announced that they will be reopening to the public on July 4th.
The Red Lion, situated on Church Street, will be reopening with a brand new outside space and new social distancing measures.
Hayley Jane Nicholas, the landlady at Red Lion, told Nub News:
"We hope that your local pub experience won't be that different, there will be a sign-in book to accommodate the government track and trace system and hand gel stations at points of entry.
"We are already OCD about cleanliness so that won't be hard to keep on top of.
"We are still finalising a system that we think will work best for the customers but we are relying on everyone being respectful of each other."
Since lockdown, The Red Lion has been working on getting a brand new outside seating area and they're hoping this will create an even better experience in the pub.
"We are extremely lucky to be reopening with a brand new stunning beer garden, which we hope goes in our favour," Hayley continued.
"We have spent a lot of time and money making the pub the best it can be during the last twelve weeks and all of the staff are keen to get back and see our wonderful customers again."
The Red Lion, which has been closed since March, is excited to reopen and get back to 'a new normality'.
Hayley said:
"We have been really busy with the garden but it's been so strange. It's been a very worrying time and I hope that the people of Helston are as eager for a pint as we are to see them.
"I'm so excited to reopen and even though it will take time to adapt to the new normal I have an amazing team of staff and we have great customers that I know will be ready to support us."
