Here is a round-up of the biggest stories from the news in Helston this November.
Poundstretcher dominated the headlines this month in Helston.
A brand new coffee bar opened on Wendron Street cross-pollinating with a local shop.
As well as lots of openings it was announced that the Helston branch of Barclays would be closing.
Good news for Helston Community College, as they announced positive feedback from a recent Ofsted report.
A parade and service were held at the war memorial in Helston this month to mark Remembrance Sunday.
It has been in the works for quite a while, and the Fishermen's Mission was ready to officially open its new 'posh room'.
The festive season arrived in the town and Helston residents voiced their delight as Christmas lights and trees were pictured going up.
The Cornish Food Hub took up a new premises offering dishes made with the finest Cornish produce.
The planning officer overseeing the plans for the redevelopment of The Atlantic Inn Porthleven said he was "unable to offer support" for the current plans.
A Helston teacher underwent a shave as part of her fundraiser for charity. Clair Day was preparing for a Brave the Shave challenge at Minnie's Hair Studio, splitting the money between Bowel Cancer UK and Cornwall women's mental health group Your Voice.
