Helston man arrested after suspected drink driving and making threats to kill

A Helston man was arrested last week on suspicion of drink driving after crashing his car into a field.
Attending a collision close to Penventon Farm, near Helston,
where a car rolled off the road and down a hill landing on its roof. The emergency services made their way back after the road was cleared, and the fire service came across a man in the middle of the road close to Higher Lanner Farm at Penrose near Helston. The man had suffered severe facial injuries. Officers attended and discovered a badly damaged car in a nearby field. The man was breathalysed and found to be over the drink-drive limit. A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: "He was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and taken to Treliske hospital for treatment to his injuries. "He was subsequently also arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill, assault and criminal damage.
