For the second year in a row, Helston Flora Day has been cancelled due to the covid pandemic, it was announced this morning.

Flora Day, which had been due to take place on Saturday, May 8th will no longer take place due to ongoing coronavirus restrictions.

The Helston Flora Day Association has been following closely the Government information and guidance on the current pandemic and wants to ensure the safety of the public, participants, and Helston Town Band members.

Association describes "great sadness" in cancelling event

"The association has taken the decision to cancel the day for a second year," a spokesperson for the Flora Day Association said this morning.

Dance secretary, Nick Wills said a number of virtual events are in the planning to mark this year's event and full details will be available on the Flora Day Association website and on the social media pages.

"Please stay safe and we look forward to welcoming you to Helston in 2022," the association added.
