Saturday 18th September 10:00am – 12:00pm

Meet the Maker: Anna Rennie will demonstrate her skills as an artisan silversmith. The rugged beauty of the Cornish landscape and coast are the main sources of inspiration for her unique pieces. Free, drop in event.

Monday 20th September 10:00am – 12:00pm

Meet the Maker: Nina Fenner will demonstrate and talk about the fascinating craft of book making. You might be surprised at the different forms a book can take!

Tuesday 21st September 1:00pm – 2:00pm and 2:00pm – 3:00pm

Meet the Maker: Tess Collett from Glazed Expression will run a workshop to decorate your own tile which will then be glaze fired. You can collect your tile a week later from Glazed Expression in Meneage Street. Cost £6. To book please contact Glazed Expression [email protected]

Wednesday 22nd September 10:00am – 12:00pm

Meet the Maker: Bettina Holland, contemporary textile artist, will demonstrate and talk about how she creates her work which incorporates new, old and donated wools, fibres and textiles. Free, drop in event.

Wednesday 22nd September 1:00pm – 3:00pm

Meet the Maker: Don Taylor will demonstrate his skills in working with serpentine. He will talk about his working techniques and the history of the craft and answer your questions.

Free, drop in event but there will be an opportunity to make a pendant (cost £10, all materials supplied) if you would like a souvenir.

Thursday 23rd September 10:00am – 12:00pm

Meet the Maker: Marie Magor will run a Granny's Button Box workshop to show you how to make your own cards – perhaps for a special person or event – using her collection of buttons. All materials provided but feel free to bring your own button box if you have one.

Thursday 23rd September 1:00pm – 3:00pm

Meet the Maker: Vicki Aimers Take One Square a workshop and talk about the history of piecework. Create your own stitched square as part of this community project.

Friday 24th September 10:00am – 12:00pm

Meet the Maker: John Samworth and Roger Gluyas of The Cornwall Wood Carvers will demonstrate the skills of wood carving and share their knowledge of this ancient art form.

Friday 24th September 11:30am – 1:00pm

Meet the Maker Online: Caroline Bawn of Gorgeous Yarns will teach you how to use natural ingredients to dye skeins of yarn. During this online session Caroline will also show you how to dye with a solar dye kit, available in advance from Gorgeous Yarns if you wish to have a go.

Friday 24th September 2:00pm – 3:00pm

Meet the Maker: Sara Price, The Quilt Lady will bring some of the antique quilts from her wonderful collection and share her passion for them.
