A group of young men reportedly caused havoc at Helston Boating Lake yesterday evening (31st August).

In a post on social media, a disgruntled resident stated:

"Gang of young lads were seen this evening at the boating lake Helston.

"Smoking drugs and flicking the still lit end of a Marijuana joint at a swan who swallowed it.

"They then kicked a duck in the head. Then proceeded to follow, shout at and intimidate two older people."

The social media post called for a regular police presence at the Boating Lake and one resident called for CCTV to be installed.

One resident also stated: "This is so sad, maybe we could have a group of people who are happy to take shifts and patrol ourselves."
