Fishermen's Mission Helston recently opened their new posh room - something that has been in the works for months.

The charity shop based on Coinagehall Street has opened a new room catering to all party needs with donated dresses, jackets, and suits.

It was officially unveiled last week with shop manager Melinda King and the team working for months to make sure it looked perfect.

The room is located upstairs and also offers handbags, hats, and shoes at affordable prices. Ideal if you are looking for something for a Christmas party.

Melinda told Nub News:

"It is all going out stuff, we have the mother of the bride outfits, cocktail dresses, little black dresses and long dresses, and the old wedding dresses. We have loads of men's things in here as well.

"If we have your size and you like a dress it'll work for you. It is nice to have the room to do it. In the old shop, we only had a rail on the wall for the ball gowns, so we only put a few out at a time, but it is nice to be able to put everything out altogether. We have everything here really."

You can make an appointment to try on something in the posh room or you can just drop by (depending on volunteer availability).
