Helston pub, The Blue Anchor, has announced that it is launching a beer delivery service starting tomorrow in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

The pub plans to stay open for as long as possible but is aware that many of their customers can not get to the premises due to self-isolation.

In a statement on their Facebook page, the owners said:

"In these difficult times, we are experiencing we send you all our love.

"We will endeavour to keep The Blue and Out of the Blue open for as long as we can, we are of course subject to government intervention.

"As from tomorrow we will be operating a beer delivery service. So if you can not get to Spingo, Spingo will come to you.

"Card payments will be taken over the phone when you order.

"In the event of a lockdown, our overheads will be reduced so prices will be reviewed.

"We wish all of you a safe passage through these uncertain times."
