Members of the community have spoken out about the reportedly growing issue with dog's mess in Helston's streets.

A post on a popular Facebook group has sparked conversation about the amount of dog waste that is not being properly disposed of.

The original post reads:

"For most the way up Wendron street to the police station within 5 steps, there is dogs mess! Why are people so lazy.

"Have a dog pick up after the dog! My kids step in it constantly and not their fault! Helston is so messy with dog poo all over the place!"

One commenter said:

"Old, young, male, female. No excuse. If you can't clean up after your animal then you do not deserve to own one."

Hannah Sole, Helston, recently posted a photo of a bag of dog's mess that had been thrown into her garden.

She stated:

"Whoever thought it was a good idea to throw a bag of dog poo into our garden absolutely disgusting, thank goodness my son isn't old enough to play in the garden!"

Nub News has contacted the Dog Welfare and Enforcement Service for a comment.
