Cash stolen from Helston businesses in series of burglaries

Recent burglaries to a number of Helston businesses has sparked a police appeal.

Businesses on Clodgey Lane and Meneage Street have been targeted by thieves with cash stolen in two incidents.

The first incident was on Meneage Street, which took place between 8pm and 9pm on Monday 10th January.

A business on Clodgey Lane was then the victim of a burglary between 2am and 2:30am on Saturday 22nd January and another business on Clodgey Lane at approximately 3am on Saturday 26th January.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson told Nub News:

"Please can businesses review security, if you make use of alarm and CCTV systems please ensure these are activated and in good working order. Please also consider removing cash daily.

"Anyone with information or CCTV in the areas mentioned is asked to please email [email protected] or phone 101 or use webchat on the Devon & Cornwall police website quoting crime CR/006483/22. Please phone 999 if you believe a crime is taking place."
