Police have launched an investigation to hunt down thieves who broke into a local home last week and stole high-value items.
The incident took place in Trescowe, near Germoe, on Wednesday 1st September between 10:30am and 1pm.
During the raid jewellery and collectable coins were taken worth thousands of pounds.
According to the homeowner, they believe access was gained via the upstairs window.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police told Nub News:
"We are investigating a burglary at a house in the Trescowe area which happened sometime between 10:30am and 1pm on Wednesday 1st September.
"The property was entered and jewellery and collectable coins, worth several thousand pounds, were stolen.
"Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, or email [email protected], quoting crime reference CR/075878/21."
This is the second reported burglary in the area in a matter of weeks after an "aggravated burglary" on Pengersick Lane, Germoe on August 16th.
In this incident, two males entered the property stating that they were police and demanded money, however, they left after being told that there wasn't any money.
There was no suggestion that the two incidents are connected.
