A recent adder bite has sparked a new warning from rangers at Kynance Cove.

The National Trust rangers out near Kynance Cove and some other local agencies have reported that the adders have woken up and have been seen enjoying the sunshine.

The warning was reshared by HM Coastguard, with the bites not serious, but it is advised to get them checked out as soon as possible.

"If you think you have been bitten by a snake out on the coast path and need medical assistance call 999 and ask for immediate help," the coastguard said.
